Here is my experience: I was an athlete at Boiling Springs. My kids are athletes at Big Spring. We’re not supposed to like Shippensburg athletes. It’s just in our nature. But Jordan was just so darn likeable! She turned my world upside down, she really did. Thankfully, she was never in a contest against either of my high school athletes, so I could enjoy her company without guilt!

Sorry, Chad, I couldn’t resist! Chad was our soccer goalkeeper for my son’s first year on the high school team and earned this perfect moniker. For one who didn’t start out his career as a goalie, he filled the position quite well. I think my biggest memory of Chad is the time he was pulled from goal to play on the field and ended up scoring. How’s that for versatility?!

I am way behind on my posts. Like, a year behind. But there’s no time like the present to catch up!

I have a very distinct and funny memory of Paige, who I’ve known since she was very young. I had the pleasure of having her in my 4th and 5th grade Sunday School class and the opening activity one week was to list some very important decisions that we may have to make in the course of a day. Hard choices like whether to be nice to your brother, or pay attention to school teachers and things like that. Paige raised her hand and said, “What accessories to wear?” I’m quite sure I did not keep a straight face on that one and I remember it to this day!

Now she’s all grown up and making some really good choices in the accessories department. Isn’t she beautiful?
